How to get an ID list IN minecraft?

I have been playing minecraft for a while now, and I see these youtubers (like syndicate) with a massive pop-up list of all the blocks you can create in minecraft and how to make them. If you know what I'm on about, can you please tell me how to get them in my world.

Also, if you watch theminecraftproject by syndicate on youtube, can you please tell me how I can get his mini map?

There's no crafting guide in Minecraft. It has been a while since I played that game but I'm pretty sure there's a mod called TooManyItems which does exactly what you're describing.

As for the minimap, there's tons of mods for that. Just Google "Minecraft Minimap Mod" and take your pick.
