How to get a YouTube channel started?

So I've recently decided to start a gaming YouTube channel, (because there's not enough, right? [that was sarcastic]) and I understand that in this age of YouTube, standing out can be hard, especially in such a populated category as gaming. However I'm just looking for some tips on how to get started. If anyone is interested (I doubt it but hey, what's wrong with some free advertising?), here the link to my channel, plus I'm willing to check out anyone's channel, but I'm not up for 'Sub2Sub'. I suggest to first figure out what kind of games people would want you to play… Minecraft and first person shooters seem popular… Next you have to figure out HOW you will record. If your playing pc gaming then I suggest to invest a little bit of money on a screen recorder, I suggest FRAPS or even the quick time player if your doing PS3, ps4, Xbox 360, or Xbox one (a little harder and expensive to do) you need to buy an actual device called a screen capture. I suggest Roxio. Then you should get iMovie or movie maker (both free) and sit down and learn how to edit. Try to find some YouTube tutorials… Lastly, you should put tags on your videos to get more views and such. Also, get a catchy phrase or name. Something people will remember. Make your YouTube channel be as professional as it can be. Then hit upload and there you go! Hope this helps!
