How to find my minecraft house quickly?

I made a house in creative mode and was really proud of my work since I'm a new player, well, I went to find a horse and when I did so I got lost. Now keep in mind I have not played this for too long so the basic things slip my mind (coordinates, marking a trail, grabbing a map, etc) This has led my into an upsetting journey around my world that only has me more confused. I just want to find my house again.

Press alt f4 and it tp you to your house

If you put a bed in it, and set your spawn, simply set keep inventory to on and go hug a creeper.
