I downloaded the Minecraft Forge installer, and whenever I install it a window pops up and says "You need to run the version 1.7.2 manually at least once" but I have no idea what it's talking about.

Added (2). So, now every time I click play on the Minecraft launcher, the launcher disappears and than reappears and the game doesn't actually load. What is going on now?
