How to copy minecraft text on Windows?

If you are asking about chat text on a server, look in your.minecraft directory for a directory called "logs". That should have a log for every day you were on a server, including chat text and other info. In Linux it compresses old logs with gzip into gz files, but maybe in Windows it makes them zip files.

Otherwise the minecraft and tekkit servers I frequent use a Bukkit IRC Java bot called PurpleIRC developed by one of our Unix shell account users which relays all chat text from server to an IRC channel and from the IRC channel to the server. So even if you are not running minecraft at the time we can read any chat text from players or chat with players from an IRC program.
