How Do You Change The Difficulty Level On Halo 3?

I set it on hard and I got through about 3 levels and I want to lower it to normal or easy, How do I do that?

Minecraft Difficulty Click campaign or whatever, in the main screen menu, NOT continue campaign, then choose the level and change difficulty.
