How do I craft a wooden pickaxe on Minecraft?

In the crafting table, put three wood planks at the top, then a stick in the center and bottom center. If you have the supplies, you can just look at the menu that pops up when you are crafting something because the recipe will be there.

Punch a tree, collect a log or two, turn the logs into planks, and then some planks into sticks. Then it's two sticks in the middle and three planks on top. Oh right, you need a crafting table first.
