I have the recording software called "Fraps". I usually use it to record PC games like Minecraft. But I want to start recording internet games like Happy Wheels and other stuff. But when I try to record my web browser (on chrome) it won't let me. I have version 3.5.99. I have tried to enable Monitor Aero Desktop like some tutorials say to, but it doesn't work.
How come Fraps won't let me record my web browser?
Unless he really feels the need to spend money on it, I wouldn't worry about it. If you still are, you can use a Proxy server to get around it. There isn't a concrete way to check if your being monitored without tech knowledge.
Fraps can only hook onto DirectX / OpenGL applications such as games. That's why enabling Aero is supposed to enable to hook onto your desktop applications although this often doesn't work.
Bandicam can record both your desktop and DirectX / OpenGL applications - it has two different modes which you'll need to switch between depending on what you're recording. You can try out Bandicam for free and see if it works for you.
My choice is Bandicam and Fraps. Capture DirectX or OpenGL gameplay, PC screen, Webcam, streaming video, and save it as AVI file. Enjoy!
