How can we play minecraft p.e with other ppl?

Is there a way to play with other people on minecraft p.e. Full version I know you can when your next to each other but how can we play with each other when we aren't in the same location

You can join an external server. There are websites dedicated to such. You can use pocket mine to host a server then let your friend join it.
