Does playing minecraft develop your engineering skills?

While I have not played Minecraft I know people that play a version of it that I think is called Gary's Mod. In that they can build all kinds of things such as computers and other various electronic devices that run as they would in real life.

It can be very beneficial for electrical engineering problem solving: redstone circuits can be made as complex as you'd like. You'd be surprised what's possible.
