When you beat the games does it get rid of your world?

Well let me answer this with how it works. Anyway yes once you complete a scenario, or sandbox. You will be asked if you want to finish. Which will end the game and you will be left with your last save you made or, you can continue your game which will allow you to continue to play on that island but trust me after 50 years in the same island you will want to start over.
