Can I download Windows programs on a ChromeBook? And is it good?

Can I download Windows applications on a ChromeBook? Like mine-imator for example, it do for windows, can I download it? And there are barely any programs I find saying "Install for Chrome OS", so, however, can I download Windows applications on it. If no, I will NOT buy a chromebook.
And, is the chromebook good? Will it be enough for me to code, play minecraft, etc?

No, Chrome OS is a form of Linux so it can't run Windows software. Although Minecraft is available for Linux so could be installed those machines don't have the graphics capabilities to run it.

They're a lot like a tablet computer with a keyboard

No, Windows programs are not compatible on the ChromeBook, only products on the Chrome App Store. A ChromeBook is made for using Google to its max capability, and runs Chrome OS, not Windows OS. (A different type of operating system than your average PC). It is not good for playing Minecraft, because it's not on the Chrome store. The Chromebook is good for using Google drive, because everything is stored in the cloud, not the actual computer. To sum it up, if everything you do involves Google in some way, and your preferred apps are on the Chrome store, then yes, this laptop's for you. However, if not, buy a regular PC laptop, it's probably cheaper anyways.

No, sorry but all you can download for a Chromebook is 'APS', from the Chromebook AP store. A Chromebook can't download any type of programs, that is why it is immune to viruses and malware.

No. It is NOT a Microsoft operating system so it will not run Microsoft programs.
