Are there any true survival video games where you have to eat, and find shelter? Not like minecraft. Something like DayZ but it doesn't have to be about zombies. Something where you have to like scavenge for materials and stuff.

If you have an xbox 360 or pc, try state of decay, you have search houses for food, medicine, ammo, build a community, help other survivors, avoid or kill zombies, choose where you want your base, customise it. It's really frickin good!
