So my family is coming to visit and they are bringing lots of kids. I know they like to play minecraft, so how can I hotspot my Wi-Fi to them instead of using my mobile data? I also don't want to just give out my password. Are there any apps that work? (Could be third party)

No. You share a data connection not a Wi-Fi connection since in most cases the devices would be able to connect to that same Wi-Fi connection if they are in the same area.

IMO, it's simply much easier to just let them use your Wi-Fi network instead of trying to share your Wi-Fi network over a hotspot. AFAIK, you can't really do that. Most apps will disable your Wi-Fi connection when you enable the hotspot feature.
Why not just give them the password? You can change it later when they leave.
