1.7.4 Minecraft Hacked Client Installation

I'm trying to use a hacked client for minecraft. I'd consider myself a pretty experienced hacked client user but for some reason I can't get any client to work this update.

First, I did replace the.jar and.json successfully in the version folder under a new folder in the name of the new client. When I open the minecraft launcher, I create a new profile and select the hacked client under the version tab. However, when I try to run the game, the game launcher goes away for a second, as if loading the game, and then reappears. This happens every time!

Does anyone know the solution to this? Any help is appreciated and the best answer will be given points!

Minecraft 1.6+ has a readme in the files, which states that the launcher phones home to verify the assets folder hasn't been tampered with every time the game is launched. I don't have much experience with hacked clients outside of Technic Launcher, but you probably either tripped this checksum in an abnormal way, or you corrupted an important asset. Now, I'm not here to tell you you're hacking wrong, because I've never modded Minecraft manually before, so I could be wrong. No advice on how to fix it, other than reinstalling and re-modding the game, which may not work.
