When I get to the menu and look at my ping to servers I usually get around 40-50. But when I get into game I usually get around 250-300. Why is this? And can I fix it?

It might be that the server is too far away from you to be "playable"
Try to find a server from your country or your neighboring countries and see if the ping still holds.
