Hey guys I was playin minecraft on ps3 one day with a friend when he randomly dies claiming that he was killed by a black thing in the wall. Intrigued, I went over to the area of the wall where he was killed and saw this "black thing". After inspecting it closely we realised it was alive, because when we hit it with a sword it flinched. So we killed it and it dropped sticks and wood, and we have since been seeing it or feeling it when walking close to a wall. I don't know wat it is and i've searched thr web but can't find anything on it. Thanks for the help and if you need more pics of it i've got more to show

It's probably a glitched mob stuck in the wall, as I've had my fair share of odd experiences.
The worst glitch I've seen is "the voodoo doll." In this glitch a clone of the player is created that stands still and does nothing, and mobs won't attack it. People can see and attack it, and this will hurt whoever the voodoo doll was cloned from until it and you die. Armor is not effective in hiding from it either. Anyways, it was either a stuck mob, or a complete glitch. My guess would be a silverfish, but they don't drop sticks as far as i've heard. Have fun, and get back to me if you get more info on it.
