How to get out of lava in minecraft pe?

I created a world in mine craft PE and I have all my stuff in a bunch of chests and i know where they are but I died and whene I respawned I respawned in lava please help this is my best world yet how do I block the lava or how to just respawn so we're else

You just sit there in the lava and die or try jumping out of it. Try finding a spot in the lava where it's only one spot below earth
