Minecraft resource pack folder is missing?

I'm trying to install a texture pack and I went to options --> Resource packs --> open resource pack folder and it never took me there. I've tried looking around my computer for the resource pack and it seems like its not there.

Added (1). I can't find the.Minecraft folder

Go to.Minecraft, go to texturepacks, and drag the texture pack in there, close all, open minecraft and it should be in texture packs

If you have a windows computer, you have to go to the start menu(the windows sign on the left bottom corner of your screen.) then at the bottom of the start menu, there will bbe a place where you can search things. Search up appdata. In the appdata folder search up.minecraft. If you find it, click on it and scroll down. You will eventually find a folder called resoucre packs. Just drag your texture pack down load into your computer and BAM you are done!

You can also just open the minecraft launcher, press edit profile on the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Some tab should appear. Here just press open game dir and the.minecraft folder should appear.

Basically exactly what Brian said, just make sure to search up " %appdata% " in the start menu search bar. In that the.minecraft folder is right there, and inside that is the resourcepack folder.
