I want to play minecraft in creative mode with me and my 2 friends only. I tried turning on LAN but it wouldn't work for them. Is there anyway to make a world for only us and play it? I saw how SmoshGames had it so is it possible? By the way we're all together on the same Wi-Fi but probably want to separate late and use it on our own Wi-Fi.

Lan will only work if on the same network. Other than that, just find a creative server and play with them on that.

You have to open the port in your router to direct TCP port 25565 to point to your PC.
Then when your friends enter in your external IP address (not your internal 192.168.x.x IP address), they will be able to connect.
