Gaming Pc Problems Minecraft?

I recently bought a gaming computer and it amazes me how i could go 138 frames on bioshock infinite on the benchmark and then on skyrim i go 60 fps with all settings maxed which is the highest fps you could go but some how i only could go 100 fps on minecraft the settings are all maxed excpet for render distance i put that at 20 so can someone tell me why this happens http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Scorpius_9000 link to my pc

100 is hardly a problem

It's about optimization. Plus some games "maxing settings" means enabling physx which is a massive resource hog on ATI cards. Minecraft may simply not be optimized by the developers to play at high frame rates because they are not important in that game.

100 FPS is great for Minecraft, but you should download the Optifine Mod to double your FPS. Set your chunks down to about 10-12, because you can't even see 20 chunks out 99% of the time. You can always shut off particles, turn graphics to fast, turn off VSync, etc. To enhance performance.
