Gaming Pc Problems Minecraft?

100 is hardly a problem

It's about optimization. Plus some games "maxing settings" means enabling physx which is a massive resource hog on ATI cards. Minecraft may simply not be optimized by the developers to play at high frame rates because they are not important in that game.

100 FPS is great for Minecraft, but you should download the Optifine Mod to double your FPS. Set your chunks down to about 10-12, because you can't even see 20 chunks out 99% of the time. You can always shut off particles, turn graphics to fast, turn off VSync, etc. To enhance performance.
