Do you personally think its a good idea?

Hai, So I know this guy over minecraft and have known him for about…1 year and a couple of months, Hes gonna be 16 soon, and ill be 14 in November. We both live in different states, he lives in Texas, and i live in California. We want to meet in person at one point and are thinking of next summer. We both know quite alot about each other and just need our parents to be okay with it. They plan on talking over the phone and possibly video calling at some point or another. He'd stay for a few days and we would be hanging out under parents supervision at all times. Do you personally think its a good idea? I just want to know what other people think of it, Maybe i shouldn't really care about what other people think as long as me and him are both allowed to. But I'm just curious. Thanks!

Added (1). Also, He would be staying in my house, and he'd be coming down here by himself, either driving or flying down. Just wanted to add that!

Not good he could have made a lot of things up.

I don't think it's a good idea no- letting some guy you met online stay at your house seems risky & dangerous.

If your parents are okay with it you might as well meet in person. But as a parent if my kid was on Skype all night with anyone I'd be thinking things are too serious for the age cohort. Perhaps meeting face to face would cool your ardor a bit, which would be a good thing under the circumstances. His parents would be crazy to let him drive interstate like that by himself though. Much safer for him to fly as an unaccompanied minor. But anything done without parental supervision is a no go from my perspective.
