Why can't I update Minecraft for my Xbox 360?

Here's a few solutions:

1) Xbox live is down and you might have to wait a few hrs until it's back up
2) maybe your internet isn't the best and you simply can't download it
3) if it's the digital version delete the game and reinstall it and the update should already be there
4) if it's the disc try installing the game by hovering over the disc tray box and pressing X and follow the instructions
5) if it is your connection try unplugging your router for a little bit and plug it back in this might help

*Also if you delete it make sure your worlds are backed up on a flash drive so you won't lose them*
