So I'm 14 and I'm in secondary school and this group of 5 girls say I'm always seeking attention ever since I told them I play games. I've told them once. I'm not even a hardcore gamer, I play the usually DS games and minecraft… That's it. I would like to play more but I don't have an Xbox. But this group of girls are extra girly girls, I'm just like them though. My favourite colour is purple and I love fashion and makeup, it's just that I play a couple of games. Why are they so mean?! None of the guys have a problem with it and my friends all play the same games but try don't make fun out of them?

Just tell them that you enjoy it and no one can change your mind. Stay strong and just don't let those girls judge you. If it goes too far just tell them that trying to act cool is attention seeking so they are being a bunch of hypocrites

It's probably because you have an upper hand with the boys and they're jealous. You're pretty and play video games so you have more to talk about with the guys. They feel like you're stealing their attention whether you want to or not, so they try to make you look bad instead. A lot of guys will fall for the cute girl that'll play games with them. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot you can do to get them to be nicer to you. Just stick with your true friends and try to forget about those stuck up chicks.

Nothings wrong with playing games. I'm a girl and I like playing car games, but no one really cares. Everyone is different, and like different things. If you like games you play them and don't worry about what those girls say. They might be mean because they are jealous of you. In a few more years the issue about playing games won't mean anything, it will be like" so what I like games ". Ok, good luck.
