Hello I've been really interested in live streaming my game play but I just don't know the ins and outs about the software and equipment. Being I'm a beginner I'm not looking to web cam the game play just yet, I'd first like to find out what I need to do. My friends keep telling me I should live stream because of my time and creativity I put into playing minecraft, so I've taken a good amount of thought into doing it. So what is everything I need? Well first off you would need something to capture your game play and transfer the video to your pc and thus you would need a capture card. If you would like to stream/make videos of at least decent quality you'll need to buy a semi expensive one. My friend "Jankesaurous" who is a minecraft streamer/youtuber uses an elgato. Then you would need basic video editing software like sony vegas if you wanted to edit videos. As for streaming there are a number of programs thatll allow you to stream on there site like xsplit.
