For Minecraft, you also have to be using an HDTV -- an HDMI or component (red/green/blue) video connection. If you're using the standard red/white/yellow cables, you can't get Minecraft to go splitscreen.

If you are using the original white Xbox 360, you need a wireless adapter which you can buy from shops or online. Or if you already have one or have newXbox360 you need an Xbox Live Gold membership. Which again you can buy from shops or online
