These laptops seem very very similar in specs but one is a whole lot cheaper? Will they both run minecraft well and which would be better? I don't wish for a long-winded answer explaining all this techy stuff that I do not understand I'd just like a short answer please! Thanks so much

The i7 model will run fine at higher settings. The i5 will struggle at any setting.
There's a reason for the price difference.

Get the one with the i7 CPU and NVIDIA GPU.
That's good enough for Minecraft and other games.

Both of these will be able to run Minecraft fairly well, but that Envy will be able to play much better since its processor is much better along with a dedicated graphics card.
If that Envy is within your budget, get that one, especially because it has a dedicated graphics card you can play many other games too.

Thay are both over kill for min craft
the hp envy is by far the best it uses a ssd in place of a hard drive witch is 10x faster you will notice it on startup and restarts along with load times
