Will someone test this? (Minecraft)?

I'm not at my house, but would like to know which is a better climbing method. Ladders or water with nothing around it?

I believe water would be the best choice. I do not think that mobs can get over the top of the waterfall. Plus, if you are not worried about mobs, it is easier to kill humans as well, as they go slower up water falls
