Why is my dell laptop overheating while I play Minecraft?

Ok i have a dell laptop i'm doing everything i can a cooling pad freezing my room and even putting the ac vent right on it but evertime i play it overheats and gets hotter and hotter i tried to play after leaving it alone with it still on. I was playing for five min and i turned down all the particals, brightness, render, and everything i could possibly do. Still the same i just get off Minecraft and its starting to cool down but i shut it down before i played i couldnt even put my finger on the laptops heat area with burning my hand earlier i timed and lapped evertime i got a lag spike

It's gathered to much dust in your fans. You can go to a computer store and buy compressed air in a spray can, or even better find someone with a high-pressure air compressor. Take one of the two items (spray or compressor) and blow air into the side of your computer where holes are located. Dust will probably come out. Keep blowing until little to nothing comes out and your pc should be MUCH MUCH cooler

I have a dell Inspiron and that lags too. Doesn't overheat though. I don't know you must need some kind of beast machinery to play these games now a days

Clean your laptop air intake and the laptop fan.

The laptop probably needs a service, the cover will have to be removed and the heatsink and fans clean/replaced. This might be a simple job where the fans/heat sinks are readily accessible or it may need a complete stripdown to get to the CPU fan etc
If you want to have go get a service manual or look at a youtube video and see what's involved beforehand

That's is normal, but as some guys said you need to clean your laptop fan, but beside that you can buy a USB Cooling Fan which is really cheap around $3 to $10, it will dramatically decrease the heat.
