Why did they take herobrine out of minecraft?

I believe he is not true, he was never in the game, but it was created by creepy pasta.

All I know is my son loves this game enough to cry when our laptop died. I mean wailing with grief and huge tears. I calmed him down enough to understand it was just the laptop and mine craft still exists. I thought he was going to need a nebulizer treatment.

Mine craft did not get rid of herobrine because i had an experience with him
