When every I record in Minecraft useing Fraps, I drop fps by a lo, t why?

I would like to record for my YouTube channel again, but here's the thing. In Minecraft I get about 90+ fps. Then when I press record on Fraps, I have a HUGE drop in fps, I drop to 20. And it's almost impossible to record in 20 fps. Someone please help me, any ideas on how to fix?

(What I'm saying is, Whenever I record on Fraps I drop A LOT of fps and I really want to get it fixed D.

I have a worse PC. I record and my FPS drops to either 5 or 7. If you have a slow computer, try recording FRAPS at half-size, this should get your FPS up, but the quality down.
