What's a good gaming computer?

I would like to have a nice computer that I can play all of the new and upcoming games with. I've had a laptop for a while and I play games such as Minecraft and TF2, but I've been held back from playing stuff like Skyrim. So I was wondering what's a good computer (laptop or desktop) that can play all of the new games like Elder Scrolls Online, BF3, etc. Thanks for reading. Also, I'd like to keep this below $1500 if possible.
