What pc parts should I buy for a photo editing PC under £600?

So later this year I'm going to college and will be studying graphics and art. I need a PC to be able to run graphics programs and do photo editing as well as play some casual games in my free time (minecraft, TF2…). I have friend who can help me assemble a computer from scratch but I need recommendations for parts and what websites to buy them from that comes to under £600.
PS: I'm from the UK so UK websites please, thanks.

Case: http://www.newegg.com/...6811146087
The case is very solid and has a unique fan control. It contains 3 fans (1 intake, 2 exhaust.)
$100

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/...27002955:s
$95

Ram: http://www.newegg.com/...6820231627
It's fast and is basically 2 ram sticks with 8 gigs in each of them. This will work well with photo editing.
$145

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/...6819113285
This cpu is fast and contains 8 cores which is good for editing. It tends to run hot and loud so I'd recommend a custom cpu cooler
$160

CPU Cooler: http://www.newegg.com/...6835103099
This cpu cooler will allow overclocking and is quiet. This is optional but if you value your ears, get this!
$35

Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/...27003454:s
It's semi-modular ( no ugly looking wires that you can't remove) and its 80+ bronze. It
is enough for this build.
$70

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/...6814121775
It's a asus gtx 760 and is a good bang for buck gpu. You will be able to edit photos and play games at high settings on 1080p.

Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/...6822236339
It's only 1 tb, but I'm assuming you won't need much anyway.
$70
(Optional): http://www.newegg.com/...-_-na-_-na
It's a fast dvd drive. I don't know if you need or not buy hey its only $20!

The total price is around $875 which is about 524 £. The rest of the money can be used for a stronger GPU, or an operating system which is essential. I just listed the best parts for what you need.
