What parts are best for a gaming PC I'll build myself?

So my budget is £600 which is pretty much $1000 (Might be useful. ). I'm new to the whole PC building thing, but I'd like some experience.

I need all the parts necessary for a PC:
Motherboard
RAM
HDD (Preferably solid state)
Processor
Graphics card

If there are any other parts needed for a gaming PC that I've missed, then please tell me. I'm pretty new to this whole thing. I need something that would probably run Battlefield 4 type games on Ultra settings at a smooth frame rate, that may be way too much to ask for under £600 though. Would it be possible if you could tell me what the frame rate of games (E.G Minecraft, BF4, COD Ghosts) would be for your design.

Well youll want a case to put that in.

Youll need a CD drive. Probably a CD/DVD

If you go SSD, youll need another HDD for everything. I have a 640g 7200 rpm WD drive for everything and run the OS off of the SSD. Otherwise you won't have any room for… Well… Everything besides the OS.

oh yeah, and if you want it to run youll also need a power supply.
