What is the difference between Minecraft Windows 10 edition vs The Normal Pc version?

Minecraft is written using Java but the Windows 10 edition is based on an extended version of the pocket edition which doesn't have all the features of the Java version, yet.

Java also isn't the best thing to use for 3D games for performance reasons. If the Windows 10 Edition continues development it will eventually be better than the Java version.
