I was looking at a very good laptop for traveling and playing games. I don't do a bunch of gaming i play skyrim and dota 2 mostly or whatever cheap games i pick up on steam but the biggest thing is that i can have a mobile entertainment machine i guess for movies netflix gaming and something i can bring to school or work or play minecraft on lan at my friends house would this laptop be good? http://www.amazon.com/...00EON4OH4/

The laptop you have featured is absolutely fine. I think you should focus more on, how you can get the best possible deal as possible. The ASUS G73SW-A1 is also a very good computer as well, but it's all about personal preference really, but I believe the ASUS is better in performance.

Just look at the Asus ROG (republic of gamers) series as well as Alienware. There are also some decent macbooks with dedicated gpu's out there but those are pricey and you won't get the most bang for your buck.

that's only a little more than I paid for my Alienware17 (although I got slightly smaller HD, and a slightly better GPU).
but that Asus weighs about 1/2 of what my deck does. Those Alienwares are massive beasts.
