I've always wanted to become a streamer but one of the things that has kept me from pursuing it is the thought of losing all your hard earned viewers when you change games. Here's an example of what I mean:
You work for 2 or so years attempting to become a big time streamer for the game League of Legends, which is one of the more popular games on Twitch. You succeed, but at this point you've already been playing the game for 2 years or more, plus any previous experience with the game. You successfully stream League of Legends for another year or two and begin to become bored of the game, what happens when you change to another game? Say Minecraft or something? I'm worried that all your viewers will leave your stream because you're no longer streaming the content they originally watched you for. If that is the case, you may be back down to only a few viewers or so (maybe from 5-10k to 500-1k?) and you'll be forced to go another 2 years or so to get back to where you where. (Potentially more as Minecraft doesn't seem to be as popular League of Legends.)
Maybe I'm over-thinking things and perhaps people will stay by you for your content regardless. Either way, I'd like to see what everyone else thinks on this subject.
Added (1). P.S: I'm just kinda realizing how bad I sounded in the first little line: "All your hard earned viewers." I don't think of them that way of course, but I think you guys get the idea. ^.^
