Should i upgrade my gaming PC?

I have had my gaming pc for about 3-4 months. I have noticed new GPUs and some CPUs coming out. My current specs are:

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770
GPU: AMD radeon 7970
HDD: 2 TB
PSU: 800 watt
RAM: 16 GB Crucial Memory

I was wondering if i should upgrade my HDD to a SSD and also have a 2 TB HDD for storage. The AMD FX-9590 CPU and the AMD R9 290x? I do record YouTube gaming videos and ever since i got this new PC i can't record games like Minecraft with out the recording lag. I do use DxTory for recording but am now using OBS because the recording lags while using Dxtory.

Should i upgrade in the next year?
Please answer this question and leave any suggestions on new parts!

1. FX-9590 is only a very little upgrade from the 4770 so no use in upgrading that.
2. If you plan on spending a bit of money on a GPU you can get the 780 ti for the same price of the 290x and its about 60% better then the 290x.
3. Yes you should definitely get a SSD its a great upgrade from a HD.

I agree with Wolf, don't spend a lot of money on little upgrade, and I also think having our pc for 3 months and ready to upgrade is a bit to early. On the gpu you should also look into 2 sli 760s, good performance, good price. Or look for another recording program. Or get a capture card, even tho it could be around $180, it would be worth it for a youtuber.

See your pc is good… And i don't think you will need to upgrade it now… But if still you want to spend some money get r9 290x and fx 9370

SSD are a worthy consideration. Samsung Evo range is one model quite favoured at the moment.

Here is one company that does them.

Graphics wise a bit dated. Try lower resolution settings and see if lag continues. If it does evidence that your card is struggling. Great review in this link on cards
