I'm getting my new laptop tomorrow and i'm also going to get minecraft. I really want to make a city and i was wondering what is best, to make it in creative, or survival. At first i thought creative because i don't have to go hunting for resorces but then i thought about it and i think it would be boring. But i don't know where to find some of the resorses. Thank you.

Survival would take too long although the time you spend on each building would make it more detailed and be of a higher quality where as creative your more likely to rush a building especially when your building a city and have a lot to get through but to build an entire city in survival is probable unrealistic especially if it is a proper big one
I would say creative, but if you plan on making it out of wood or coble of something and want the achievment of building in suvival, go for it.
I only use creative to experiment with redstone contraptions. Definetly survival. Gathering resources, fighting off monsters and crafting the materials needed to build the city is the whole point. Its minecraft mine things and craft stuff with it. Creative is sorta counterproductive and only recommend it if you are short on time
