What's wrong with my Minecraft?

Whenever I pick up items and blocks from 1.7 and up I get this

:( I updated all my drivers, Java.etc. And this never happened before.
I tried to reinstall and it still does this.

I'm using Win XP.

Added (1). I have tried using 1.7.4 and it still gets the same results.
I tried uninstalling and installing and it's still the same.
But it does work perfectly fine in 1.6.4 which I've been using. My friends wants to play 1.7.4 on their server and I'm the only one who can't. And since it has a lot of new blocks and menu features I'm very jelly haha.

I will keep trying though.

You're Using minecraft snapshot 13w42b which may be unstable at the time, I suggest you revert back to 1.7.4 where it is more stable. Its doesn't seem to be a lag problems since you have a high rate of frames, so it's probably just a bug in the snapshot. I the problem persists you should uninstall minecraft and reinstall it, remember to save your world files somewhere on your computer if you do this.

Delete your.jar and replace it with a new client.

You're using an old snapshot.

Download 1.7.4 and it will be working fine.
