On a server I was on, I was mining in the wild, and I got lucky and found a couple of diamonds. I didn't think anything of it, but a few days later, I was accused of using Xray and permanently banned.
I wasn't using Xray and I never have. The way I was mining was a staircase shape, which is the way I've always mined in all the years I've played minecraft. This is the first time this has happened to me, and when I told staff I was innocent, I was accused of lying.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I looked it up online and apparently many people using Xray mine in a staircase shape and get good ores like diamonds this way. I don't know how to prove my innocence to staff, but since I was accused of lying and the staff member seemed pretty irritated, I have a feeling I'll never be believed. Apparently that particular staff member had banned many people because of Xray but I question if other people they banned were innocent like me.
I'm sure many people who use Xray are caught and banned, but my question is for people like me who, because of getting lucky mining, have been accused of Xray. A follow up question is were you able to prove you were innocent, and if so, how? If there's any way I can prove I wasn't using Xray, I'd love to hear it.
