My mine craft won't open?

My mine craft won't open because the texture pack is to much for the computer. I'm running the latest version of mac mavericks. How can i delete the texture pack.

Close Minecraft

Go to start menu and type in %appdata%

Click.minecraft

go to resource packs (or texture packs if your running minecraft under version 1.6)

delete the pack that you were using when it crashed

hopefully that should work
