I want to make a minecraft server (not hamachi) but want it to be fast. I'm very confused about port forwarding and need some help. Should or can i buy a router just for running a minecraft server since i already have lots of people using my current router and its very slow at sometimes. Please help me and if you can explain how port forwarding works.
Minecraft server port forwarding and routers?

No. The speed is controlled vt rge bandwidth of the service, not the router. Abd you would need to feed everyone else's load through your router to the other or you can't port forward. Even slower.Abd you would need to have a static IP address for the service or it cab chabge at any time so nobody coukd find it. That would normally require a business broadband costing 4 to 5 times your home service.
