Minecraft glitch, may be a developer prank?

I opened minecraft earlier today and the textures on the server I was on glitched and all I could see was fire, water, lava and mobs. No solid blocks, through them. Then I tried a singleplayer world and the same thing. I restarted it and deleted it even (Twice, different methods) and it did nothing. It had been playing creepy remixed versions of the original soundtrack, and that was a giveaway that it might be a developer prank. There were also clouds spawning under me. I wanted to know if this was a developer prank or if I could fix it.

Added (1). I had been playing the Snapshot earlier as well!

Press F3 + C for 10 seconds ingame. Your game should crash and provide a crash report, then make an account on mojang.atlassian.net/ and make a bug, then put the crash report onto the bug and explain the problem you're having. As to how to fix the problem, try manually downloading and using the default texture pack, or a different texture pack. Or RESOURCE pack, my brain seems to be stuck on texture packs.

You have an altered texture pack. It was likely a server texture that was installed in your game. You should try and go into your options and return to the default resource pack.
