How to update my Minecraft server to 1.7.9?

I just bought a minecraft server from MCProhosting and it says I need to update it in order to go on it I thought it would be once I bought but its not. I just want to know how to update it i've tried what videos on youtube and what websites said and it didn't work it says its on 1.7.5 still any suggestions?
