How to import a world to a minecraft server?

I recently started a minecraft server and I would like to be able to use it with a world I've been using in single player for some time instead of the world given by the server. How do I do this?

This is very simple.

1. Go to your minecraft root directory

2. Go to saves and copy the world you want to your desktop

3. Rename the world "world" no caps or quotes.

4. Replace the default server "world" with your "world"

5. Restart your server
