How to delete my minecraft server?

I have an old server that I never played on. Now when I try to use it says pinging. Is there a way to fix this or should I delete it.

Go and re portforward, if you want to use it again.

Sounds like your server is out of date try downgrading your client to the version that your server is running or upgrade your server to the latest version which your client is running
