Can I run a minecraft server on a tower server?

I'm thinking of buying a tower server or any toe of server that can host a minecraft sever with out using my ram on my computer.

You don't have to use a server, a regular computer will work fine as long as you use a gigabit nic.

Minecraft will run on just abount any operating system in any setup. As long as you have access to a computer you'll be fine.

protip: if you're technically capable don't buy a minecraft server specifically, they're often very limited and more expensive.
