Running Minecraft 1.2.1 on XP virtual machine? Is it possible? OpenGL 2.0?

I have a Win10 laptop running a WinXP virtual machine. I have minecraft installed in the XP simulation. It needs Open GL 2.0. Fix?

Uninstall it and reinstall it on Windows 10, because Minecraft works just fine on Windows 10.
