I want to get minecraft for my ps3 and it costs 20$ but the pc version is like $26.95 but me and my friend wanted to play online together but she has an xbox 360 so we can't play together by through my ps3. But she doesn't have the pc version neither do I so if I get the pc version I was going to surprise her and buy her one game for me and on for her so we could play together. But it's going to cost probably 50$ or so… What should I do?
Should I get minecraft for the ps3 or pc?
I would say ps3. Not because it's cheaper but because you play it on television! -cheers on- and the television is way bigger than a PC (depending on what kind you have Lel) plus it probably has higher quality.
I highly recommend the PC version, the console versions are way way behind than that of the PC version. The console versions have a world limit so you can't mine or explore any further whereas the PC version is an infinite world (nobody has found the end). On the console version the only texture packs you can get are the small amount on the store and you have to pay, the PC version however is free and there are thousands of texture packs, you can also make your own if you want. And then you have the mods, on PC you can install mods to customise your game, anything from new mobs to adding automated factories, the console versions can't be modded.
The only pro to the console version is the fact that you can play with a controller which is good at times, but I still prefer the keyboard and mouse.
Personally I would say the PC version if the cash isn't a huge worry to you. It'd also be a really fantastic gift for your friend.
The flexibility of the game is far greater with the PC, thanks to the extensive modding community. The PS3 version simply doesn't allow you to do as much with the scope of the game.
It's a great game to enjoy with company, so being on the same gaming platform would be a load of fun for you both. That said, if you're only really interested in plain Minecraft releases and money does factor in heavily, then the PS3 would have to be the way to go for now at least.
PC! Manly because you can enjoy the game more. You can join servers that have mini games that you and your friend can play in together such as splegg, TNT run, and hunger craft ( it's like the hunger games but in minecraft) you also have more options, mods, bigger servers, and all the updates go to PC first.
